New Glasses
well, i ordered glasses. i haven't been wearing any for a few years now, so this is pretty big. they should be in this week. i'm just waiting for a phone call to go and pick them up. they are the plastic kind, not the wire kind. i've never had this kind before, but i really hate the nose thingies on the wire kind, so i tried something new. i hope it all works out well. anyway, when i went to go order them and pay, the man who was measuring my face and i were talking. i can't quite remember why, but he asked me how old i was. i told him i was 28, which i really am. i feel no need to pretend i'm younger. he said that i looked a lot younger than that and his coworker said that i could pass for 17. i know this. i have no wrinkles. i just have good genes and i'm chubby. double pluses for no wrinkles. well, this was coming from two older people. the other day my niece asked me how old i was and i told her 28 and she said that i looked more like i was in my late 30's. what does she know anyway?!

17!?! Wow Ruth, that's awesome. I mean that's practically half your age. I used to look young too, but I think it's finally catching up to me. My face is starting to wrinkle and I have stress lines, and I just look like an old tired mom. But I'm still happy for you. Let's go to the fair and have them guess your age. Oh, and I want to see pics too of the glasses.
the fair? i did that when i was 18 and the guy thought i was 14. hee hee hee. i won a prize. i'll have to see if any of our many town carnivals have age guessers.
I can't wait to see them!!! I'm also VERY happy your getting them, no more squinting(sp)... I think the Carson Carnival in July has an age guesser, Nevada has no fairs... :P We could always go to the Utah State fair.

Hi there is a Nv state fair in Reno it is usually in August.
