Last Night and Today

well, i went to a progressive dinner last night. i got complimented on my outfit and my glasses. the food was good, but i guess i messed up when i told the people with salads to bring them to the first house instead of the second house. other than that, everything went really smoothly. this is only the second progressive dinner that i've been to and the first one was in a branch and it seemed really haphazzard. i don't know, maybe i was just overwhelmed. i was still pretty new at the time. anyway, i got to talk to some friends and hang out with the ladies outside of church. that is always fun. one house that we went to had a shelf with some games on it. i was impressed. settlers, upwords, risk, killer bunnies, scrabble, othello. lots of thinking games. personally, i don't enjoy killer bunnies, but whatever. anyway, the theme of the dinner was home and garden. the first house had a few garden boxes and a lady talked to us about gardening and fertilizing. she seemed miffed when someone contradicted her about manure, but it went no further than the first comment, so we all just looked past it. the next house had some neat wall designs. the lady had done venetian plaster, i think. it looked neat and had some leaf impressions in it. she talked about how she did it and how much her supplies cost her. she would tell us how something cost so much and then she said what she used, which was a lot cheaper. i like it when people tell you how to be frugal. the last house was so beautiful. i think someone called it a "show house." i didn't play volleyball or croquet or even sit in the gazebo. i just sat on the lawn furniture and talked to my friends. we decided that we are gonna see harry potter and the half blood prince together when it comes out. i probably won't go to the midnight showing, so my friend will have to watch it twice. not that she would mind in the least. so that's what i've been up to this week, so far. today i'm gonna make my sister a lily apron. i'm gonna try gathering it, which i've never done before, so we'll see how it turns out.

so why was Rachel gonna get one and not me? Well I like navy blue, red, or pink, and stuff like that. I think Rachel's your favorite now because she lives so close to use.

I don't know why I typed use. I meant you. I must have been distracted with the boys or something.
