Sunday

hip hip hooray! maura has saved the day! we were at church on sunday and she brought george with her! andrew hasn't let george out of his sight since.

i would have updated earlier, but i wasn't home on sunday or yesterday and last night we had about three blackouts.

okay, now for another sunday story. we were sitting in the chapel before church began and andrew said he needed to go potty. of course emmy also wanted to go so we went around to the bathroom. andrew likes to go into the men's bathroom by himself. once again he ran away from me and went in. there just happened to be a chair in the hallway, so i sat down with emmy on my lap. a few men went in and out. then i thought i heard andrew crying. i went to the door and hear better and sure enough, andrew was calling for me. a man came along to use the bathroom and i asked him if he would send my little boy out to me. he went in, but then came back and said that andrew needed me. all the men left the bathroom and i went in for andrew. he was having a hard time wiping. he even got a little mess on the floor. i cleaned him up and we left. i thanked the men who stood guard so no other men came in and we went to the women's bathroom. then emmy got to go potty. as a side note, when we got back to the chapel we found that derek had moved us. nice.

Yay for george. I'm just glad we had him. :) His face was priceless. makes me smile just thinking about it.

Why did Derek move you? I just want to be sure I understand the tone for the word 'nice'. Do you have a designated spot where you sit for sacrament? We tend to sit in the same spot. I think it is a commandment isn't it?

we were in a pew in the general area of where we normally sit. on the left side in the noisy kid section. well, his family was in town so we ended up sitting in the middle rows. it was totally weird.

1)glad he didnt obsess over a toy or anything ;)

2) keenan had to go with me to the women's restrooms in public places until he was probably 9 or 10. poor kid. but after that story of the boy who had his neck slashed by a whacko guy in a public restroom while his mother stood right out by the door hit the media... no way was i letting my kid get slashed, or molested, or murdered. nope... i was overly protected at all...

3) next time make derek take him. a- you would have not had to go into the men's restroom. b- you wouldn't have to clean up the mess on the floor (you **did** clean it up, right? just checking since you didn't mention that part) and c- you wouldn't have got to choose if you wanted to change seats or not.

well, emma, i guess i felt he was safe in the men's bathroom since it was at church and all. so far i haven't met any weirdos (les, craig) so i wasn't too concerned. i did tell derek that he needed to take andrew from now on.
