Actresses

i watched this movie today that had sir alec guinness in it as 8 different characters. whoever he played got murdered. anyway, there was a woman in the movie who looked and sounded really familiar. i thought that she played cynthia in moonspinners. so we had rachel look her up. turns out she played aunt fran in moonspinners. weird. anyway, it put my mind at rest to know where i'd seen her before.

We have a knack for recognizing actors in movies or tv shows. In fact, there is this lady that is showing up in a lot of commercials lately. Kyle thinks she is pretty and was wondering what show he knows her from. Out of nowhere I am able to whip out her name and the show. It was Molly Culver and she has been on I Love The... series on VH1. Kyle just looked at me wide-eyed.

once i was in a theater watching a movie. and the actor -- i KNEW i had seen him before. throughout the ENTIRE movie i kept wondering. Finally, during the closing credits it hit me! Then - I wanted to watch the movie again so I could enjoy it! lol!

I like to try to guess the actor doing the voice for a cartoon. I can remember sitting through Lion King in the theater thinking, Ok, that hyena is Whoopi Goldberg, Timon sounds like Nathan Lane, the bird sounds like Mr. Bean, etc. Not placing Pumbaa's voice, reading the credits after the movie, then going home and checking imdb and realizing that that guy was in some Nyquil/Dayquil commercials.

i know pumbaa as mr carosi, the owner of the malibu sands beach club on saved by the bell.

Andrew and I do this ALL THE TIME! We actually have IMBD.com easily bookmarked so if we think someone looks familiar or want to know what else they've played in, we simply click on the link and type it in.

Best. Website. Ever.

imdb.com. Don't forget it!
