Never Would Have Used that Combination

i went to a dinner tonight and there was this salad that thought i would hate. spinach and strawberries with some kind of dressing already on it. has anybody ever had this before? i actually really liked it. i want to know what kind of dressing it had one it. i don't know who made it so i'm gonna have to ask around on sunday when i see those ladies again. i don't normally like sweet fruits in my salads (mandarin oranges), but i was pleasantly surprised with the strawberries. i had to have two helpings of the salad.

Strawberry Spinach Salad
Salad:
1/2 pint strawberries
8 oz fresh mushrooms
1/2 small red onion
1 pkg fresh spinach
1 pkg crumbled feta

Dressing:
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/8 tsp worcestershire sauce

Drizzle dressing over salad and toss.

Hope this helps!

I love a spinach salad with either Craisins or strawberries, or even blueberries. Then have sugared almonds, grilled chicken pieces, and feta cheese. Then for a salad dressing have a raspberry or a poppy seed vinaigrette.

thanks jessiewessie. and puphi. i never would have thought of feta. i'll have to try this at home. i don't have any worcestershire sauce, so i'll have to get some.

The combo of ingredients sounds really strange but it's really good.

i am not a huge fan of the feta cheese. But I do like a good berry nut salad.
